Our Mission:

Through strategic partnerships and collaboration, the Human Resources Department recruits, develops, and retains a high performing and engaged workforce while fostering a healthy, safe and satisfying work environment.  The Human Resources Department is highly competent and responsive to the needs of its customers, providing proficiency in addressing Recruitment and Retention; Training and Development; Employee and Labor Relations; Payroll and Benefits Administration; Classification and Compensation; Risk Management; Personnel Policy; and Talent Management.

Partner in Public Service Volunteer Program:

Local residents are invited to get involved in their community by partnering with The City of Stuart’s volunteer program. Known as “Partner in Public Service”, the program’s mission is to promote citizen involvement, increase creativity and efficiency, and enhance community goodwill.

Working On Wellness (W.O.W.):

The wellbeing of all employees is of great importance at the City of Stuart. Our wellness program focuses on providing employees with the information and means to change, or enhance, their lifestyle for the better. Some examples of achievements of the W.O.W. program include the implementation of smoking cessation programs, weight loss management initiatives, exercise programs, financial planning seminars, healthy eating presentations, stress relief tips, and programs that promote overall wellbeing. The City has also introduced a wellness portal for employees, where fitness activities and wellness challenges are tracked... and prizes awarded!
