Poppleton Creek Mangrove Park consists of tidal wetlands that were created by constructing a meandering water quality treatment area through the existing uplands on the property.  The tidal flows from Poppleton Creek are directed through the created wetlands and into the existing red mangroves for water quality treatment.  In addition to providing water quality treatment, the newly constructed wetlands provide new native habitat for both fish and wildlife.

Constructed pathways and boardwalks provide pedestrian accesss throughout the site.

The development of Poppleton Creek Mangrove Park has been made possible through a variety of partners.  Florida Communities Trust, The City of Stuart, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Rivers Coalition, Arts Council of Martin County.  Eco-Artist Jesse Etelson and the River Kidz have all played a role in providing this important natural area for the citizens and visitors of our region.
