The City of Stuart Sanitation Department is closed on the following holidays during the 2012/2013 Fiscal Year:
- Columbus Day (furlough day)
- Veterans Day (furlough day)
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Years Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- President's Day (furlough day)
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
If your collection day falls on any of these holidays, the garbage, yard trash or recyclables will be picked up on the following day.
Example: If the holiday falls on a Monday, Monday's collection will be on Tuesday, Tuesday's collection will be on Wednesday, then the regulary scheduled collection resumes on Thursday.
