The City Clerk's Department provides administrative and information services to the City Commission, its commitees, boards, all city departments and the citizens of Stuart to facilitate good rule and efficient government to its citizens.

The Budget and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) documents cover the fiscal period beginning October 1 and ending September 30.   A Proposed Budget is a document still in the review and analysis process.  The Stuart City Commission holds open public meetings, including several Budget Workshops in summer, followed by two Budget Hearings completed by September, to officially adopt the Budget for the year beginning October 1.  The CAFR report is issued by April following the fiscal year ended September 30, and is prepared by an independent audit firm.
